2. Overview

This website is deliberately lean. We don't use analytics or tracking tools, advertising or marketing cookies, or third-party embeds such as videos, maps or social media plugins. Fonts are served from our own server. We only process personal data where it's technically necessary to run the website, or when you contact us.

3. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit the website, Vercel processes data that your browser sends automatically:

  • IP address
  • date and time of access
  • requested page and referrer URL
  • browser type and operating system

This data is used solely to deliver the website and to keep it stable and secure, for example to fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log data is only kept for a limited period and then deleted.

Vercel processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). This may involve a transfer to the USA. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so the transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

4. Cookies

We set a single, strictly necessary cookie. “NEXT_LOCALE” stores the language you're viewing the website in (English or German), so your choice is remembered. It contains no identifier, is not used for analytics or advertising, and expires after one year. The legal basis is § 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021) together with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We don't use any other cookies or similar technologies.

5. Contact by email

If you email us, we process your email address and the information in your message to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete this data once it's no longer needed for that purpose, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Our email is provided by Google Workspace from Google Cloud EMEA Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland, acting as our processor (Art. 28 GDPR). This may involve a transfer to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so the transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

7. Your rights
